Dress, Madewell; Necklace, Madewell; Bracelets, Lisa Freede (similar style here); Sandals, DV by Dolce Vita via Nordstrom

One of my oldest friends got married last Saturday.  When I saw this dress in February I knew it was exactly what I was looking for for a May wedding.  It is a lovely light material and that ended up being the best thing ever because the starter on my car died between the ceremony and the reception and we spent 2 very hot hours in the parking lot of Advanced Auto fixing it.  That led to some very sad hair for the reception too 😦  It took me awhile to figure out the details for the outfit, shoes, jewelry, etc.  For work I’ll pair it with a belt and my suede boots but for a wedding?  Well that wouldn’t have worked out.  After quite a while of searching for the perfect shoes I found these at Nordstrom during their crazy sale.  I hadn’t even planned on stopping in but since I parked by Nordstrom and had to walk through anyway I figured I’d mosey on through the shoe section.  And there they were, the perfect color to match my dress and great for work too!  Dual purpose shoes, what’s not to like?
